along with the Department’s other brands.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahomans can now stock up on state-themed gear from the Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department’s new online store, ShopTravelOK.com.

An array of products in the store feature the new state logo, which was unveiled Feb. 12. Options include long- and short-sleeve T-shirts, outerwear, phone cases and mugs.

Customers can also purchase products featuring logos from the Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department’s family of brands, which include “Discover Oklahoma” television show, Oklahoma Today magazine, TravelOK.com, the Oklahoma Film + Music Office, Oklahoma Road Trip and the Oklahoma Fishing Trail. There are also designs for six Oklahoma State Parks, created by Tulsa-based Mythic Press, and several funillustrations featuring a bison, the official state animal of Oklahoma.

“We want Oklahomans to be able to show off their state pride, and the merchandise in this store is a terrific way to do just that,” said Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell, who is also the state’s Secretary of Tourism & Branding. “We also want visitors to be able to have high-quality merchandise to remember their adventures in our state. With these products plus those available in Tourism Information Centers around the state, they now have a ton of options.”

ShopTravelOK.com is an online-only, print-on-demand store, meaning that items aren’t printed until a customer orders them. Customers should receive their orders roughly seven to 10 days after ordering. Shipping will cost $5.99.

“We looked at many different options for this online store, but we felt like print-on-demand was the best option,” said Jennifer Mullins, director of the Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department’s Travel Promotion Division. “It allows us to provide our customers with a wide array of high-quality merchandise while still keeping overall costs to the department to a minimum. As we start to get orders and get a feel for what items our customers want and what pricing works best, we will likely make some changes to make sure we’re offering the best products at the most effective prices.”

While ShopTravelOK.com products will use some of the same designs used in the items available in Oklahoma’s Tourism Information Centers, the online store will not offer the same products as the Tourism Information Centers.
