Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department to host Tourism Day at the Capitol
OKLAHOMA CITY, April 15, 2024 — The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department is hosting Tourism Day at the Capitol on Thursday, April 18, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Partner organizations representing Oklahoma’s 3rd largest industry will be in attendance to share information about travel and tourism and its economic impact on local communities.
“We’re looking forward to partnering with organizations from across the state at the State Capitol to showcase the widespread impact of Oklahoma’s 3rd largest industry,” said Shelley Zumwalt, Secretary of Tourism, Wildlife & Heritage. “Through these partnerships, we can unlock the full potential tourism as a major driver of economic growth in local communities and position our state as a top-tier travel destination for visitors around the world.”
